How do I check the status of my order? When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available. If you haven’t received your order within 5 days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at hello@thecreativerecycler.co.uk with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Do your Lampshades conform to current fire regulations? Our shades are made using PVC materials that comply with BS EN 60598-1-2008, the British Standard for Luminaries. Our PVC material has been tested in the Lighting Association Laboratories and has passed the glow wire test.
-
What type of lamp base will your shades fit?Our frames fit any UK fitting (Bayonet Cap B22) or European (Edison Screw E27). We include a nifty converter plug which enables the shade to work with both fittings.
-
What type of bulb can I use with them?Low energy bulbs are recommended to use with your lampshades. Energy usage is less and they are cool to the touch. This avoids the problem of scorching your shade and ceiling.
-
How green are you?We are always looking at ways to become greener. Our electricity and gas is provided by Bulb, who make energy simpler, cheaper and greener. Our packaging is made up of recycled paper, tape and card, and 100% recycled cotton calico to protect our lampshades. We use zero waste shops such as The Globe Foundation, make our own cotton dishcloths, and support and prioritise shopping at local small businesses. We love our business stamps from The English Stamp Company, who are very green indeed. You can read about them here. Making and mending clothes is a passion of ours so we don't feed the Fast Fashion Monster. We also enjoy many handicraft projects to make precious things, rather than buying new from a shop.
-
Can I recycle my shade?Yes you can. We purposely stick to one type of plastic, enabling ease of recycling if the shade is no longer wanted. Each shade can be stripped to it’s component parts and recycled responsibly. Contact us for more details and support.
-
Can your products go back in to the circular economy at the end of their lives?LDPE, Polyethylene, isn’t recycled by all local councils yet, but all of our products are fully recyclable with us. Recycling should ideally be the last resort, and is a really important part of the process. We hope our customers keep our products for a very long time, but as Creators of products made with repurposed plastic, we want to provide options for them if they don’t. Let’s reuse processes from generations ago, and upcycle them to work today. Contact us for more details. We want our customers to be happy with all aspects of our sustainable ranges.
